I recently installed the trial of the .net express version. I'm using Visual Studio 2008. Everything is going well except that when I drop a connection control on a windows form I immediately receive a null object reference error popup message. There is no coding involved, just dragging the control from the toolbox to the form generates the error. I must click OK several times to get the message to go away, but it occurs again if I try to save the form. Also, the control is completely non-functional. I have no problems with the other controls.
Has anyone experienced this?
Thanks,
John
