I am trying to rebuild a recently crashed MS Windows PC where I had installed the GhostScript per Bruce Blackshaw's online instructions.

Under my old system, when I printed to the PS printer (to a file) the conversions would happen automatically, Acrobat reader would launch, and I would have a .pdf file opened in front of me.

Now I have to open GSView manually and ask it to do the conversion.

Could anyone please point me to the procedure that will cause the conversion to .pdf to happen, and Acrobat to launch, upon printing, as it was working before?

I now have installed v8.53 of GhostScript and v4.8 of GSView.

Any consideration you may give my request is very much appreciated.

Cheers, John

It may be that your machine was using pdf995, which I believe can be installed as a printer driver. See http://www.pdf995.com/
