Server side: Windows SBS 2003 latest service packs and updates.
setup for SSL
setup with a domain user following instructions. Used a different home directory by specifying home directory path in user profile. That way, passwd file was correctly generated.

Using BitKinex 2.7.1 as client, both on localhost for testing and on XP PRO remote site.

Am able to make TSL connection and login fine. The behaviours differ depending on whether I set the client to FTP server type of Auto (which detects unix type) or Windows NT.

For unix/auto: Can only see files/directories I create/upload from the client.

For WindowsNT mode, can see all files/directories whether created/uploaded locally (at the server) or using the client. However filenames that were created locally have things similar to "Domain Users 16932 Oct 31 21:32 " pre-pended to the file name, which of coarse really is not there, so when I start to transfer the file, of course no such filename exists.

Any idea what is going on here? I have used the client elsewhere without any difficulties, but am unshure where my problem lies.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried using a different client? E.g. just the windows command-line client?

Don't think I can do that using FTPS. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Of course. Try FileZilla.
