Site to Site Transfer

Question

Is it possible to use edtftp within vb.net to make a site to site transfer?

I would like to create an application with the ability to open up 2 seperate ftp sites and transfer files between them without having to first download the file and then upload it back.

Could someone let me know if this is possible or not.

I'm working on a nice solution for this right now, and it looks like the other guy that posted in the thread already has some solution which may do this.

Short answer is yes, this can be done, and it's not really too hard. When I'm done with my application I will post the code somewhere, it will probably help you although I'm no asp.net guru so the code may not be the best.

I appreciate you doing that. I tend to work better when I have some guideance and am able to see how to do something first. Please keep me updated as I am very interested to see how to do this.

We will support this at some point - it's called FXP.

Thank you for the correct term and its good to know that this is being worked on. In the mean time does anyone here know of VB.net code out anywhere showing this being used in a FTP client? I have messed around with this a little bit but I am quite new to vb.net and though I have been able to download a file and change directories and such I cannot do it very well. When I click download while its downloading I get an hour glass thus not allowing me to abort the transfer, it would be usefult to see how to put all the responses into a textbox so I can see what its sending to the server and the server is sending back. A good working example would be useful to understand this better is all.
