I had win 98 o my system then i installed winXP I lost GRUB ..how ca I get it back .

wat is the procedure to boot liux fro a floppy?

I'm guessing that XP took the Master Boot Record (MBR) from GRUB. Windows always uses the MBR. You can configure the windows boot loader to start your Linux partition as follows:
