lost linux path in boot file ,sytem having 3 OS

Question

My system priorily have win98 ,win xp, and linux.my active drive is c.
win98 is on D.win xp is on E.and linux is on G. i have formated
E drive and install win xp .after which i have lost the path of linux
and so now linux not appears in boot sequnece. what to do so i can linux
back.

Perhaps editing boot.ini will work for you

i editied boot.ini by adding C:\BOOTSECT.LNX="Linux"

at end . but it not worked
