Socks proxy for testing?

Does anyone know of a open source or freeware socks proxy implementation that can be used to test edtFTPj's support of socks proxies?

Also, just how prevelent are socks proxies in the real world?

Just FYI, edtFTPj's current SOCKS proxy support relies on that of the JVM.

SOCKS is used quite widely.

I need to test it to verify that I implemented it correctly.
