Try changing the CommandEncoding property to say Encoding.GetEncoding("Windows-1252"). It depends on what the server supports, you may need to experiment.

Also, there are plenty of posts on these forums about this issue. A search for 'CommandEncoding' will reveal a lot of useful discussions.
