just wondering? I don't think the problem is with your code but my support staff not sure what happened. The day I was testing with edtFTP.Net against our FTP site, the FTP DNS became scrambled and locked up the FTP server. Sorry, if the terminology is not quite right but this what my people told me. Any ideas?

Perhaps they mean the DNS entry for the FTP server was incorrect?

That might cause FTP clients to hang I suppose.

One of the support staff explained (a little more) what they meant. The local DNS cache was corrupted on the client side. Does this help?

Well, this would mean the client would be unable to connect to the FTP server, as the resolution of its name (e.g. ftp.mydomain.com) would not be correctly translated into the right IP address, e.g. 192.168.10.1 instead of 192.168.134.56

I suggest you google 'PS3 DNS error' and perhaps include the error number. There's a lot of posts out there giving suggestions.
