Accessing the log programmatically

Question

I can write the log out to an appender (file) however I wish to keep the log resident to log to a DB or somewhere else...

How can this be done...?

Pretty straightforward. Write yourself a StringAppender that implements the Appender interface and use it instead of or in addition to the FileAppender.
