System.IO.IOException: The device is not ready.

Question

I use edtftpnet-1.1.3 from a web application to upload photos onto a server. The code runs fine from my test machine, but when I upload it to the server and run the code I get the following error:

System.IO.IOException: The device is not ready.

Can someone give me any idea on what might cause this.

Hello,

I know this is a v. old thread (so this is more for google than anything else:), and it might sound like an especially dumb solution but I had a very similar problem... It turned out it was because I hadn't updated my applications configuration from one machine to the next. What was a HDD on the development machine was the (empty) CD ROM drive on the other.
