Hello, our company is currently running an FTP server on a Windows 2003 server with IIS and the built-in FTP server of IIS. We have a requirement to move to SFTP in a short time. Installing your software on the same box as our current FTP (running on IIS) server, is there a way to import the configuration (virtual directories), Windows users (unless it can use the local user accounts already on the machine) and re-use the same directories currently being used or do we have to start from scratch and re-configure everything along with creating new user accounts and password?

We currently use virtual directories for some users (like external customers), but others have full access to the entire FTP site (like our development team and managers). Right now, security on the files/folders is managed via the NTFS file/folder permissions. I need a solution that will be easy to implement as I am not very knowledgeable about FTP servers.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

The quickest way to achieve this would be to set up CompleteFTP as a SFTP-to-FTP gateway - see here. If this works for you then you'll have very little work to do in terms of configuring CompleteFTP, but it does require you to keep IIS running, though it wouldn't be accepting external connections.
