Getting files from an old ftp server

Question

I use edtftpnet-1.3.0 to retrieve files from a number of different ftp servers without problems. However, I am unable to get a list of files to retrieve from a server which has an embedded ftp server. This problem is not unique to edtftpnet as I was unable to use Internet Explorer. Filezilla failed but investigation found that by setting the ServerType to Dos, it would work.
Is there something similar that I could do in the edtftpnet api?
