We have some clients claiming they can upload files twice as fast using a Filezilla client than using the 7.3.1 version of edtFTPnet/Pro built into our Windows service. In our testing Filezilla does not transfer files faster so there must be some network issue they have. The files we send are already encrypted so we don't enable compression. We are setting MaxTransferRate to 0. Are there other settings besides TransferBufferSize that will affect the upload speed?

I tested with FileTransferProtocol.FTP but we allow FTPSExplicit and SFTP as well.

It'd be good to know what protocol your client is complaining about so we can offer some more specific suggestions.

I am waiting to hear what protocol they are using but if there is information specific to each protocol I would like to know.

Try some small values (4K) and large values 128K for TransferBufferSize. Also make sure logging is set to no more than Info level.
