Question

i'm receiving this error, can anyone tell me why i'd be getting this error. Its seems to only happen when a router is being used.

It looks like the server has been configured only to connect active-mode file-transfer connections to clients in the 74.x.x.x range. Try using passive mode:

fileTransferClient.getAdvancedFTPSettings().setConnectMode(FTPConnectMode.PASV);

If that fails then please enable logging at the DEBUG level (see here) and include the relevant part of the log in your reply.
