Access Denied Exception Code = 550

Question

I am new to ftp and sftp. I installed a licensed version of edtFTPnet/PRO and I am trying to run the examples through the example viewer. On trying to upload file I get access denied exception.. code 550. I cannot think of any reason why I get an error.. Can someone explain if there are some security settings / something that I am missing. I ran the example 'How to connect to an FTP Server' and was able to connect without errors..

Are you sure the account you are using has permissions to write to the directory that you are in?

This is a message from the server saying you don't have permission.

Are you sure you are in the remote directory that you expect?

I overlooked the setting in Properties(FTP Site Properties ) - > Home Directory -> Ftp Site Directory. I set the write property to true, and it worked. Thanks...
