I'm in process of edtFTPj evaluation for my project and I've noticed strange behaviour. Running the exactly same code on Linux (slcakware) an Vista ,with exactly the same jdk (1.6), when I try to connect to server in passive mode and the server has only port 21 open (just for testing purposes) I of course can not retreive any data from server. The strange thing is that on vista, the connection timeouts as set by setTimeout() but on linux it always timeout after 5 minuts, no mather what I set in setConnection().
Any guess what's the problem?
