I am using edtftpj-1.4.5.jar, Java version. I want to know, if there is cap (like maximum file size not beyond ....) on size of the file that i am going to FTP from a remote client ?

No, but in practice many servers time clients out after 10 minutes, which can limit the file size that can be transferred.
