Passive Port setting in EdtFTPd

Question

Can I set the allowed passive port for edtFTPd which were limited by the firewall policy? I found the article at http://slacksite.com/other/ftp-appendix1.html mentioned that we can put "PassivePorts 3000 4000" in the proftpd.conf file, can we do that in edtFTPd as well ??

Don't see why not. Try it out by putting the config options between the following two lines in the default.conf file:

# CUSTOMSETTINGS BEGIN
# CUSTOMSETTINGS END

Make sure edtFTPD Manager is not running while you manually edit the default.conf file, otherwise you'll lose your changes.

Yup....the previous failure was caused by the edtFTPd Manager while it is still running and I thought changing the .conf without stopping the edtFTPd manager can works. Thanks !!
