License question

Question

I plan to use edtFTPj in an open source project. However, to keep the size low, I want to include only some classes in the executable jar file (those I really need), and I have modified one class slightly.
Will that be OK if I release my project under the GPL and inform the user where to get the (unmodified) sources?

Keep in mind that edtFTPj is under the LGPL, which gives you the option to use the GPL.

So since yours is a GPL project, just relicense all the source together under the GPL - yours and ours. Of course, please keep our copyrights in our code, and any acknowledgement is always appreciated.
