File Upload needing login every time

Hi..
i am trying to create 2 new files one data file and other checksum file and uploading them in different methods in the same class..
i have to login everytime on to the ftp server...
is there a way that i have to login only once and continue doing my operations from different methods...

Yes, as long as you maintain the session in between uploads, you don't need to log in again.
