How do I force the login prompt to pop up when connecting via Windows Explorer without manually going to the File Menu.  If anonymous login is enabled, it shows the Public folder.  If anonymous login is disabled, I just get an error - Windows cannot access folder.

MS IIS FTP and other FTP products prompts for username/password if anonymous login is disabled.

To access FTP sites via Windows Explorer, you need to enable FTP folder viewing in your computer's Internet Options: 

Then open Windows Explorer and type ftp://username@hostname into the title bar.
