I get this exception after calling FTPClient.put(). I can connect to the remote host, login, set connected mode, set type, set timeout, but just trying to send the file fails. I've tried active and passive type, and I've tried both the Pro and regular versions. It is not timing out, I get the exception immediately. My trial licence says it doesn't expire till next month.

Here is the stack trace:

Hi Jack

Would you be able to post a log showing this behaviour? The Developer's Guide explains how to enabled logging.

:oops:

I was calling put like this: ftp.put(localDir + fileName, targetDir);

changing it to ftp.put(localDir + fileName, targetDir + fileName); fixed it.

I haven't been in this code for about a month, but I thought it was working before. Oh well!
