A universal activation key (UAK) can be used for activating CompleteFTP installations without needing
Internet access. It is only possible to obtain a UAK in conjunction with a Volume License for at least twenty (20) servers.
Normally, activation keys are tied to a specific Windows installation. Installations need to be activated via the Internet, although
there is provision for off-line activation: if the specific machine being activated does have Internet access, the activation key can be obtained using
a different machine with Internet access. A UAK removes this requirement.
A UAK is not tied to a specific Windows instance, so the same activation key will work on all installations.
This means it can be hard-coded into silent installations. The UAK has the name of the licensed owner encrypted
in it, which is displayed in the CompleteFTP manager's title bar.
